About Human Strategies
The body has but one strategy to life. Survival.

Healing. Balance. Energy. Focus. Strength.

The body has but one strategy to life. Survival. It will promote by any means what it knows to create safety and balance. That is its own strategy. We constantly battle this strategy (our brains necessity) to fit our own needs with too many distractions we don’t have control over at times. If you feel a headache/migraine, it will slow you down, so you don’t overexert yourself. If you feel unbalanced from your ankles, the last thing you want to do is fall to the floor so your arms will hold onto everything close and tightly to help, which makes the rest of your body adapt and cause misalignments. But just because you have these changes doesn’t mean they should be there to stay.
If the symptoms haven’t changed, the brain will send more pain/discomfort signals to the rest of the body. Signals saying, “if you don’t look after this soon, I can no longer endure this – temporary change of safety“ and begin to break down. We all get distracted and fixed to routines that we get used to where bad habits end up being our new norm. After this, some people wait till the last second to get therapy when the focus should be how do I maintain myself above par, before it got to that point, so my body never goes down that path again. It can be a vicious cycle but it really takes consistency and a growth mindset to change “bad” habits.

Old vs. New Methods of Therapy
As a growing society of developing methods of pain relief, trying to out-do one another of the latest modality, a question might be asked, “are we making things too complicated?” We are finding out more intricate ways to connect with the body, either with a tool or a new intellectual way of moving.
The fear of failing and not being seen as refined and accepted is damaging. So the idea of building on what was once the foundation and fundamental element of fast movement, growth of muscle, lengthening tissue, strength, body composition, etc., has been heightened.
About Robert Glean

Hello everyone! My name is Robert Glean – a licensed registered massage therapist since 2004, and a movement re-educator with regards to waking the mind and body back to its normalcy again.
Over the years of educating myself about the body, I learned in time that the body needs more and less attention at times than we give it.
